Role Summary
Family Fountain is seeking to engage an experienced and highly professional AML Compliance Manager to support the firm’s regulatory compliance functions in line with the Anti-Money Laundering Act, 2020 (Act 1044) and applicable regulations issued by the Financial Intelligence Centre (FIC) and the Securities and Exchange Commission. The Consultant will provide strategic support to strengthen internal controls, develop compliance protocols, and enhance the firm’s anti-money laundering framework.
Key Responsibilities
Compliance Framework Development
- Review and update the AML/CFT Compliance Manual in accordance with local regulations and global best practices.
- Develop compliance tools, checklists, and internal control processes for day-to-day operations.
Training & Capacity Building
- Conduct AML/CFT training for staff and board members.
- Prepare educational materials to promote awareness of AML responsibilities within the organization.
Risk Management
- Assist in developing and implementing a comprehensive Risk-Based Approach (RBA) to managing AML/CFT exposure.
- Support Know Your Customer (KYC) and Customer Due Diligence (CDD) implementation and monitoring processes.
Regulatory Liaison & Reporting
- Support the AMLRO in the preparation of Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs), Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs), and other reports required by the FIC.
- Review and assist in responses to any regulatory inspections or queries.
Strategic Compliance Advisory
- Advise on the operational implications of AML compliance in onboarding new clients and investment products.
- Collaborate with senior management to ensure enterprise-wide compliance integration.
Qualifications & Skills
Required:
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- A professional qualification from the Ghana Investment and Securities Institute (GISI) is required.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in compliance, risk, or regulatory affairs in financial services.
- Strong understanding of Ghanaian AML legislation and global regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- High attention to detail, integrity, and analytical capability.
